Princeton Little League offers a clinic for both new and returning umpires to join our Umpire Cadet Program. This clinic offers hands-on training where cadets will learn the fundamentals of umpiring, including the rules of the game, proper positioning, and on-field decision-making. The goal is to prepare cadets to confidently manage games and help keep play fair, fun, and organized.

Cadets must be at least 11 years old and interested in learning a new side of baseball. The program is a great way to stay involved in the game while building confidence, leadership, and a deeper understanding of how baseball works. Most importantly, cadets play a key role in making games feel exciting and official for our younger age groups. Participation may also count toward school community service hours, making this a rewarding experience both on and off the field.
