Divisions Offered & Eligibility

Tee Ball Division

Overview:
Tee Ball is the entry level division at PLL. The experience is grounded in fun, fitness, and fundamentals while also being a key to growing a child’s love for the game. Tee Ball players use bats and balls designated specifically for use in this division. Parents are strongly encouraged to become involved in this entry level of Little League.

Eligibility:
Tee Ball is available for players ages 4-6. Players age 7 may play Tee Ball if specifically requested by the parent and after discussing with the Player Agent. Tee Ball players are placed on teams randomly but parents can also make requests in this division such as indicating a friend, family member, or coach they would like their child to play with. PLL will make every effort to honor these requests.

Coach Pitch

Overview:

The Coach Pitch Division is designed to help young players build confidence and learn the fundamentals of baseball in a fun, supportive environment. In this division, coaches pitch to their own players, allowing kids to focus on hitting, fielding, throwing, and learning the flow of the game without the pressure of facing a peer pitcher.

This level emphasizes skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship while introducing basic game rules and situations. The goal is to create a positive first baseball experience that keeps players engaged, learning, and excited to come back to the field each week.

Rookies

Overview:
The Rookies Division bridges the gap between machine and player-pitched baseball. While machine pitch remains a part of this division, the exciting new element is the introduction of player pitching in a supportive, instructional setting. This approach helps players gradually build confidence as they begin learning one of the most important and challenging aspects of the game.

Eligibility:
The Rookies division is available to players age 7-11. There are no placements of players.

Players that are ages 8-11 are eligible to be drafted into our Minors division unless specifically requested otherwise by the parent (and then discussed with the Player Agent). Any players who are not drafted in Minors will be drafted in International.

Minors Division

Overview:
The Minors division consists of “player-pitch” only.

Eligibility:
The Minors division is available for players age 8-11. All eligible players must tryout and then are drafted onto teams by the managers. There are no placements of players.

Intermediate (50/70) Division

Overview:
