Softball Season Information

Weekly Division Schedules

We will do our best to maintain the following schedules. But, weekday practice/games may vary based on coach availability and as we start to schedule games with other towns. Practices will be an 60-90 minutes long. Games are about 90 minutes long.

Rookies (Ages 6-8) 
Games and Practice:
Monday night (6 PM) and Saturdays (9:30 AM).  

Minors (Ages 9-10) 
Games and Practices:
Wednesday night (6 PM) and Saturdays (11 AM), Additional practices TBD by Coaches. 

Majors (Ages 11-12) 
Games and Practices:
Wednesday night (6 PM) and Saturdays (9 AM).  Weekday night will be determined by the Coaches.

Please note that PLL strongly supports children playing multiple sports, so we are flexible on attendance each week. We ask that players try to make as many of their weekly PLL commitments as possible during the season, and just communicate in advance with the team coach when you will miss a session.

Volunteer Coaches Needed

We need as many volunteer coaches as possible. Please sign up to help your child's team. We understand you may not be able to cover every game and every practice. We will all work together to make sure we have the support we need.


Key Dates for the Season

Preseason practices will begin the week of March 30th. Opening Day Ceremonies will be Saturday, April 18th. We will start games toward the end of April to ensure enough time for practices. Championship Saturday and End of Season Celebration will be Saturday, June 6th. 

Age Requirements

Girls between the age of 6-13 are eligible to play softball. Children born before 01/01/07 a or after 12/31/13 are not eligible to play. For determining divisional eligibility, your League Age is determined by your age on Dec 31st, 2019.  If you want your daughter to play up a level, just register for the available division and then please write to [email protected] to request a move.

Residence or School Requirement

In order to be eligible, players MUST meet one of the two following criteria: 

1) Players  can Live within the PLL Boundary Area, which includes parts of Rocky Hill, Skillman, and Hopewell
or

2) They can Attend a school in the PLL Boundary Area.

Use the League Finder to see if your residence or school is in the PLL Boundary Area.

Registration Fee

The registration fee for PLL Spring Softball is $150. Each player will receive a cap and jersey. Please note that we offer a $20 Sibling Discount fee. This applies to families who have kids playing both softball and baseball too.
